It works for me in AE2020 as of version 17.0.5 (Build 16) on Windows. After zipping, I dragged the entire folder here:

~Windows~
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore

~Mac~
"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore"

And it worked just fine!

Thanks Wander It Works if you just move the whole folder to that location.

Paste in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore"
The automatic default color of Color Vibrance is green and will override what ever color your original footage may contain. HOWEVER, if you select GRAY in the color selector panel it does not affect your original color element and can comp with impunity while enjoying the other features of the plugin. Have fun!

I am using latest version on AE 2020 and this plugin working fine. In AE you can use Curve tool but it require lot of adjustment. With color vibrance is easy and fast way to do it.

To fix your problems, what I did was download the zip folder from:
http://www.pluginsfree.net/2014/05/download-color-vibrance-for-after.html

Extract the files, then follow the directions of the pdf.
Or
Place the "vibrance" file in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\Plug­ins

Just drag&drop Vibrance64.plugin into /Application/Adobe After Effects cc 2015/Plug-ins/(whatever-you-name-it)Video CoPilot/ and it works like a charm. Simply ignore the other windows file.

Hey guys, I was getting the "Vibrance.aex" error. I deleted the "Vibrance.aex" file from my plugins folder and the error went away and the plugin still works.

Mac OSX Yosemited 10.10.5
Mac Pro

That looks like the Windows version of the plug-in. Please try installing the Plugin version.

Hello!
I installed the plugin but whenever I run AE it shows this message when starting:

"After Effects error: opening resource file "Vibrance.aex" (3 :: 54)"

I'm using CS6 suite on Mac, even it has crashed but only twice; I've been reading the previous comments and found out there are some issues that I don't know if they need to be fixed yet or if I'm the only one who is still having them.

Hope to get a quick answer.

I am using a Macbook Pro and I downloaded and put Vibrance.plugin inside my plug-ins folder for After Effects in my applications folder, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. I open up AE and it doesn't show VC Color Vibrance anywhere in the effects. Am I installing it wrong? I've installed this plugin without a problem before on a Windows desktop computer, but am having some trouble on my mac. Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Yep, I just upgraded to 2015 and it has been crashing every few minutes after I try to apply a color vibrance effect. Hope he updates soon, I use this effect on almost every project now.

I know this rebuild but unlike the original it has harsh color changes:

I could imagine that the original smooth color fade could be archived with some alpha /luma hacks. Maybe in conjunction with the effect: 'vegas'.

But I m not sure how to get it right. Every attempt fails.

I have to do a lot other stuff, but I can't because I'm jailed in this thoughts.

I don't want to live anymore, if I cant get this hack...PLEASE HELP!!!

Information for everyone who has problem with VC Color Vibrance. In my last project i made many,many 3D layers and i added one ajdustment layer (with Color Vibrance) over all 3d layers. When i started to render it to mp4, all my 48 cores has stopped, and AE CS6 has crashed every time when i tried to render something to final files...There is solution - try to PRECOMPOSE all your 3D layers and if You want add "VC Color Vibration" plugin, try to add it OVER precomposed 3d layers. In my case all problems gone.

I don't know if this is a bug or what. But if you try applying VC color vibrance to a 2d adjustment layer over 3d layers it crashes AE.

I'm using AE CC 2014 but i havent had any other problems.
does this work on cs5.5 ?

If this has been posted elsewhere then my apologies for duplicating the info. I've discovered you can use this wonderful plugin on conventional color smoke and fire footage instead of merely starting with black and white elements. Colortastic plugin guys. Great work. Have a little thing to report though

When i use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 it doesnt carry the vibrance effect to the render.
So everything that has vibrance on it just reverts to its actual color.

Not sure if anyone else answered this, but if you just add it to the render queue first and render it as an .avi, then drag the .avi into Media Encoder it will render the effect.

As you see i use the german version of aftereffects. could that be the problem? (i have often seen problems with "sliders" cuz they`re called "scheiberegler" in the .de version.

Last night i checked before you posted here... Seems ok but why the lowpoly jet seem so static most of time... Especially near cartoonic planet.

Hi Don and thanks for checking our work.
The Jet is moving just slightly through the space.
But as the camera moves away you cant recognize that much of movement. Just because it's too far from the camera.
Look at the stars in those moments and you'll see that everything is still moving.
Why is the jet not moving faster?
Well, this was the wish of our client.

Amazing timing with this plugin Andrew, we are a month away from releasing something that was suffering from a 'muddy whites' issue.

Is it too much to ask, to outline here, how the color preservation works with the mask feathering? I always like to understand the core principles when using quick fixes. Is it matte related or blend mode related?

Andrew I got some problem running on in E3D interface

It happend when i updated my GTX titan card driver recently (NOTE : WHQL driver), the problem i had when i was pressing ok on E3D interface and return to AE, Without error messge AE just was keeping hungup.. forever

When i solved the problem with lower graphic driver update what i was running(NOTE:WHQL) I solved the problem but EVERYTIME I PRESS OK AND GET OUT OF E3D INTERFACE; THE CUSTOM INTERFACE CHANGES AUTOMATICALLY TO ITS DEFAULT SIZE AS THE TIME OF INSTALATION THE SIZE WAS.

I been experimenting, making my own smoke effect with an e-smoker against a black backdrop, and with Color Vibrance I can easily make the white transparant and color the smoke any color I want and the vibrance gives it a much richer colorization... this plug in is a really big deal! You guys should experiment with this!

but the Huge disappointment was my pc is a 32bit pc..... and this plugin is for 64bit systems... pls kindly work for that and publish a copy for 32 bit version too

Andrew - What is the importance of having a black background on elements? I notice in other tutorials such as the advanced spin fx you give all the elements black backgrounds then overlay them with the screen overlay parameter? I understand in this one with a lighter background and using screen blending mode you have developed a workaround for this but what is the importance in general of doing it that way? Is there some information in the black that can be missed in colour correction? Also great tutorial and website! Thanks

I seriously CAN NOT thank you enough Mr. Kramer for this plugin. for years I've come up with my own elaborate approaches to bypassing each and every issue presented in this video and behold, this FREE plug-in effortlessly solves ALL of them!!! My mind especially exploded at 8:56 when it colorizes mask feathers. I'm floored!!!!! THANKYOU!

Came here to say the same thing. This one plugin solves 3 (three!) issues that have kept annoying me for a long time now. I love that the VC-team think about masks, when developing plugins. Maybe do a tutorial an that, for Adobe-Developers?

This works very well together with the Wireframe option in Element 3D It's very easy to control and finetune the shit out of it!
